The Pirscher Gear Summit Wool Jacket is a breathable and water-repellent hunting jacket in a very low-noise wool blend made for active types of hunting such as mountain hunting and stalking, as well as for raised hide and everyday use. Wool has always been the hunter’s textile of choice. In the Pirscher Gear Summit Wool Jacket we combine the advantages of natural wool fibre with modern technical hunting clothing. Both in the choice of material and in the design, it was important to us that the jacket is convincing from a hunting point of view and at the same time looks casual enough to cut a good figure in everyday life.

Jacket construction and features

Because we value sustainability, we chose a modern wool mix of recycled wool and recycled polyester as the outer material when developing our Summit Wool Jacket. In this way, we make use of the naturally temperature-regulating, warming properties of wool. At the same time, the functional wool blend fabric is lighter than classic felted wool textiles and dries faster than pure wool.

On the inside, a fine-meshed, breathable mesh fabric supports the temperature-regulating effect and ensures an optimal climate and pleasant wearing comfort even during increased activity.

To increase durability, we have opted for an environmentally friendly, PFC-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment for the Pirscher Gear Summit Wool Jacket. The ecological impregnation reinforces the natural dirt- and water-repellent properties of the wool and makes the hunting jacket more durable and resistant. Should blood ever get onto the material, you can simply brush it off with a little water and a soft brush.

From the shoulders to the elbows, as well as in the extended back, the hunting jacket is reinforced with a trim of hard-wearing microsuede in a modern suede look.

The Pirscher Gear Summit Wool Jacket has an athletic cut. The extended back, adjustable cuffs and width-adjustable jacket hem ensure a close, comfortable fit. This makes the fit perfect for active types of hunting.

The jacket is equipped with a total of five pockets. It has an inside breast pocket, two push pockets and two Napoleon pockets with a practical dual function: they can be used for warming hands or for a radio or tracking device, as they are equipped with an antenna outlet. To avoid zip rattling, all zips are equipped with a slide-in tunnel in which the sliding handle of the zip can be silently fixed.
