The Pirscher Gear Tech-Fleece Hoodie OPTIMAX 2S is a functional stalking jacket made of high-performance fleece with an integrated camouflage mask. The lightweight and quiet fleece jacket is specially optimised for stalking in warm temperatures, but is also suitable as a warming mid-layer in the cold season. The OPTIMAX 2S Camo offers optimal camouflage in forest, field and mountain terrain.

With the Pirscher Gear Tech-Fleece Hoodie OPTIMAX 2S we have pursued the mission of developing a lightweight and absolutely silent fleece jacket: Optimised for stalking bucks on warm May days, night stalking wheat hogs in summer or hunting stalking life deer on a balmy summer evening.

The OPTIMAX 2S camouflage pattern was developed in cooperation with Taiwanese camouflage pattern specialist TECL-WOOD exclusively for Pirscher Gear. The colouring of the pattern is specially adapted to the Central European vegetation. The camo is suitable for use in forest, field or mountain areas.

The proportion of light elements in the camouflage pattern is optimised to create a high-contrast camouflage. It ensures that the hunter does not stand out as a dark spot from the background in low light conditions at dusk, but that his contours blend into the surroundings. The Optimax 2S camouflage pattern combines macro and micro elements and thus optimally breaks up the hunter’s contours both at close and far range. This is why the camo achieves an excellent camouflage effect both when stalking in the forest at short distances and when hunting in the mountains, sometimes at very long distances.

Our primary goal was to make the jacket as silent as possible. Because when you are stalking, every little noise counts. The soft fleece with its smooth surface produces almost no noise and is therefore predestined for stalking.

Jacket construction and features

We chose a fleece material that has a honeycomb structure (waffle grid) on the inside and is criss-crossed by fine air channels. Body heat is absorbed and stored in these air channels. At the same time, sweat and moisture are well absorbed by the honeycomb structure and quickly transported to the outside. The soft material surface ensures a comfortable feel.

The hood of the Pirscher Gear Tech-Fleece Hoodie is designed for maximum stalking suitability. It has a very good fit and is equipped with a hidden camouflage maskmade of breathable mesh fabric. This allows the stalker to conceal his bright face at the crucial moment – perhaps giving him the decisive seconds for hunting success.

For a perfect fit, the cuffs of the jacket are fitted with thumb loops are provided. This prevents annoying slipping, even when moving around a lot, and makes it possible to put on and take off an overjacket quickly. The elastic, tight-fitting jacket waistband ensures that the jacket does not ride up. This makes the fit perfect for active types of hunting.

The jacket is equipped with a total of five pockets. The two outer zipped pockets and the chest pocket pocket can be used to securely store the most necessary hunting equipment. Inside, two large open pockets offer even more storage space.

On warmer hunting days, its material properties make the Pirscher Gear Tech-Fleece Hoodie the perfect stalking companion with high climate comfort and optimal moisture management. In the cold season, the hoodie serves as an ideal warming mid-layer, as the honeycomb structure creates an insulating effect. In addition, the hood and the face mask protect the head and face from the cold.
